History

For more than 30 years SBS has designed, developed and made a wide range of laboratory instruments. From the beginning of to 70s the company has been characterized by a constant effort in investigation and development, we have achieved a great number of improvements and patents, which revolutionized the world of the laboratory and which today have been adopted as standard by our competitors.

In 1972 SBS was the first company worldwide in developing the concept of multi point magnetic stirring and patenting the first multipoint magnetic stirrer of the world, the historical model of 6 points called A-04 caused a real revolution in the laboratory world at the time and still today continues being a bestseller in its current version.

Present

In the same year SBS patented the first circular hotplate and interchangeable of the world, which besides was characterized by a major efficiency in the heating and sensitively lower consumption than the rest of the hotplates of the market. More than 30 years later it continues being the most efficient hotplate in the world, reaching a temperature of more than 425 ºC and the only one interchangeable without the need of any technical service.

The denomination of the stirring capacity of equipment in Liters of water was SBS's innovation, concept that nowadays has been adopted as standard by the market.

Today SBS makes more than 1000 different laboratory instruments, with the most wide range of the world in magnetic agitation and many other lines of products of common use in the laboratory.

We continue developing new technologies and patents, like the newpatented line of ceramic heating mantles or the incorporation of the new microprocessors with Flash technology of last generation that will mark a new point for reliability and facility of use.
